Tracking time against jobs
Accurate time tracking helps you understand profitability and bill clients fairly.
Starting the timer
- Open any active job.
- Click the Timer button in the top-right corner.
- The timer runs in the background, even if you navigate away.
- Click Stop when you are done.
- Add a description of the work performed.
- Click Save Entry.
Manual time entry
If you forget to start the timer:
- Go to the job's Time tab.
- Click Add Entry.
- Enter the date, duration, and description.
- Click Save.
Team timesheets
Admins can view all team members' time entries from Reports > Timesheets. Filter by:
- Team member
- Client
- Job
- Date range
Billable vs. non-billable
Each time entry can be marked as billable or non-billable. This distinction appears in profitability reports and can be used when generating client invoices.
Weekly review: Encourage your team to review and submit their timesheets every Friday for accurate reporting.
