Most firms know their revenue. Fewer know their margin.
Accupe puts the fee you charged next to the hours your team actually logged, at their real cost rates, and tells you what is left. All of it from your own data.
Three numbers worth having.
Not a dashboard of everything. Three questions a partner asks in a planning meeting, answered from the work the team already recorded.
Margin, job by job
Every job puts its fee next to the hours logged against it, costed at each team member’s own rate, and shows what is left and what percentage that is. If nobody has set cost rates yet, the page says so rather than quietly reporting a 100% margin.
Capacity per person
The Team Heatmap shows the load on each individual rather than a firm-wide average. A firm running at a comfortable-looking 80% is usually two people at 130% and three at 50%, and the average is what hides it.
Reports a partner will read
Firm health, financial summary and a per-client pack, generated as PDFs from live data. Region-aware: a UK pack carries the UK regulatory footer and en-GB formatting, a UAE pack carries the UAE one. The advanced report set starts on Growth, and the audit log export is an Elite feature.
Margin by job
Sample data| Job | Client | Fee | Hours | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Year-end accounts | CLI-042 | £2,400 | 18.5 | 38% |
| VAT returns, annual | CLI-088 | £1,200 | 14.0 | 19% |
| Monthly bookkeeping | CLI-012 | £450 | 9.25 | 4% |
Margin is the fee less the logged hours costed at each team member’s own rate. Illustrative figures, not a performance claim.
Decisions you can defend in a partners’ meeting.
- Built from work, not estimatesTimers and timesheets record in minutes against the job as it happens, so the analysis is not a reconstruction of the month done from memory on the last Friday.
- The unprofitable client stops hidingA healthy firm-wide total can conceal three engagements running at a loss. Sorting by margin percentage surfaces them in about ten seconds, in time to reprice at renewal.
- Ask it in plain EnglishThe AI assistant is scoped to your own clients, jobs, deadlines and time entries, so "which jobs are over budget this quarter" is a question rather than a report you have to build.
One thing we will not sell you: a benchmark.
Accupe does not publish industry averages, market sizing or trend data for UK or UAE professional services, and it will not tell you how you compare to firms it has never seen. Everything on this page is computed from your own jobs, timesheets and invoices.
Reporting quality depends on inputs. Margin figures are only as good as the cost rates you set and the time your team records, which is why the profitability page tells you when either is missing instead of showing a flattering number.
