Generating reports

Accupe's Reports page holds every PDF, CSV, and XLSX the platform has generated for your firm: tamper-evident, region-aware, and built to be defensible if a regulator ever asks for it.

Where to find it

Open the sidebar and select Reports (the breadcrumb reads Dashboard > Reports), or go directly to the Reports page. You need the view_audit_log permission to see this page at all, since it's treated as a coarse permission that any compliance-aware role can hold. Without it, you'll see an "Access Restricted" card asking you to get the permission from your firm admin.

Generating a report

  1. On the Reports page, select Generate report.
  2. Choose a Report type from the dropdown. See the table below for what's available.
  3. If the report type needs a related record, a second field appears, labelled Client, Signature, or SAR pack depending on the type, with a matching placeholder such as "Select a client…". Pick the relevant entity. If none exist yet, you'll see a message telling you to create one first.
  4. Choose a Format, if more than one is offered for that type. See Formats below.
  5. Choose a Classification: Public, Internal use only, Privileged & confidential, or Regulator-shared.
  6. For an engagement letter specifically, once you've picked a client an extra "Letter details (editable before generating)" panel appears, letting you adjust the client business name, primary contact, client address, service or scope, and fee before the document is produced. Your own firm's identity details always come from your trusted company record, not from anything typed in this panel, so they can't be spoofed.
  7. Select Generate. The button shows "Generating…" with a spinner while the document is built.

These are the only ten report types Accupe currently generates. There's no separate tax return, VAT return, or custom report builder here, and nothing is scheduled or recurring, every report is generated on demand.

Extra permissions by type

Seeing the Reports page only requires view_audit_log, but generating certain types requires an additional permission:

Formats

Most report types generate straight to PDF with no format choice shown. Three types let you pick:

  • Audit log export: PDF, CSV, or JSON
  • Financial summary: XLSX or PDF
  • GDPR data export: ZIP archive (the only option offered)

The GDPR data export is firm-wide only for now. It isn't possible to generate a single-client export from this screen.

Finding and downloading reports afterwards

The reports table lists Type/Title, Format, Classification, Generated date, Size, TSA, and Actions. Each row also shows a truncated hash under the title. Use the search box, which matches against type, title, hash, and entity ID, or the type and format dropdowns to narrow the list, and select Clear to reset your filters. Select the Download action on any row to open a fresh signed download link in a new tab.

In the table, classification labels display with underscores replaced by spaces, so a regulator-shared report shows as "regulator shared" in lower case, and it's the only classification highlighted in a different colour from the rest.

If you haven't generated anything yet, the page shows "No reports yet" with a prompt to generate your first report. If your filters simply don't match anything, you'll see "No reports match these filters" instead.

Tip: Report generation is capped at 60 reports per hour per firm. If you're batch-generating a lot of engagement letters or AML packs in one sitting, spread the work out rather than firing them all at once.
