Filing AML verification evidence for a client
Accupe no longer runs sanctions or PEP screening. The built-in screening engine has been withdrawn: there is no Run Check button, no automatic re-screening, and no monthly check allowance. Accupe is not a screening provider, and nothing in the product should be read as one.
What Accupe does instead is hold your firm's own AML evidence in a structured, audit-ready place: you carry out (or buy in) the checks your risk assessment calls for, then file the resulting evidence against the named individual it covers, with a date for when it needs looking at again. Accupe then tracks the re-check dates, surfaces the gaps on Compliance Radar, and writes the whole trail to the compliance audit log.
Where verification evidence lives
- Go to Contacts and open the client's record.
- Select the KYC tab.
- The panel is headed Verification documents: "Upload your verification evidence (PDF or Word) against a specific director and set when it needs re-checking. Directors are pulled from Companies House automatically where available."
Filing a document
- Choose the Director the evidence covers. For a client imported from Companies House, this is a dropdown of the current active officers, each shown with their role. For any other client, it's a free-text Director name box. The Upload button stays disabled until you've picked one, with the tooltip "Choose a director first".
- Optionally set Re-check by. Leave it empty and the document is filed with no expiry; set a date and Accupe tracks it.
- Click Upload and choose the file. PDF and Word documents are accepted, up to 25MB. Anything larger is refused with "That file is larger than 25MB. Please upload a smaller file."
- Accupe confirms with "Verification document saved" and the document appears in the list below.
Reading the filed list
Each row shows the file name, the director it was filed against (with "Companies House" appended when the name came from the officer list rather than being typed in), and a status badge derived from the re-check date:
The trash icon removes a document. Accupe confirms first ("Delete this verification document?" / "The uploaded verification evidence will be permanently removed.") because the file itself is deleted from storage, not just unlinked.
If nothing has been filed yet the panel reads "No verification documents on file yet."
What still exists on the compliance side
- KYC Smart Capture for client-completed ID and selfie verification. See "Verifying a client's identity with KYC Smart Capture".
- Document expiry tracking across every client document, not just verification evidence.
- Compliance Radar, the per-client 0 to 100 score that rolls all of this up.
- The compliance audit log, and the SAR / STR evidence pack built on top of it.
Note: Screenings your firm ran while the feature was live have not been deleted. They are regulated records, so they stay readable in the app, on Compliance Radar, in the API, and in the AML screening report. See "Reviewing and clearing historical AML hits".
